Forty years ago, in 1984, when it comes to computing, things started off quietly. Coleco was still promoting its Adam computer system (which they would soon cancel entirely), Commodore had just announced the new, but boring, 264 computer (which would later and somewhat surprisingly get released as the Plus/4 and not surprisingly become an enormous flop).
