In the November/December 1988 issue of Atari Explorer, DF Scott conducted an interview with Sig Hartmann, a VP at Atari.
I always like reading these interviews with executives because they just can’t help themselves from talking about things that never come to fruition.
Mr. Hartmann came over to Atari from Commodore when Jack Tramiel took over. Originally he was the VP of Software and helped to get developers to create software for the Atari ST. It sounds like VP of Public Relations was now an additional role for him. He retired from Atari in late 1989, perhaps about a year or so after this interview.
Mr. Hartmann passed on June 4, 2014.
You can find my thoughts after the interview.
