Palm Programming Tools
Back in the late 90s and early 2000s, my favorite gadgets were Palm handheld devices. This small computers had a touch screen and you used them with a stylus. They were black and white at first, but color appeared later.
In many ways, a Palm from 2000 was more powerful than the Mega STe that I was just using back in 1992.
These were not standalone devices as they had no internet connectivity. Wifi was only in its early days then. To transfer data to or from a Palm you connected it to the computer using a serial cable.
The Palm had no restrictions as to what you could install on it, so you could create your own apps for it (as prc files). After all, what fun is a computer if you can’t program it?
There were several ways to code the Palm. You could use a tool on the Palm itself or you could use a tool on your computer to create an app and then transfer it to the Palm.
Below are many development tools I remember, some of which I used to make apps and programs.
