Ranking the Atari 8-bit Computers
When talking about the Atari 8-bit computers, you can never really refer to a single model because there were so many. Unlike the Commodore 64, which really just had two models1, there are nine different Atari 8-bit computer models: 400, 800, 1200XL, 600XL, 800XL, 65XE, 800XE, 130XE and XE GS!
There are many different ways to rank things, but the categories I’m going with are physical design and general usefulness. Read on for my rankings.
