The Atari Compendium, a Comprehensive Programming Book
Programming in the 80s and early 90s was quite different than today. You usually didn’t have much documentation to work from and much of the time system behavior became the documentation.
Certainly the Atari ST suffered from weak programming documentation right from the start. Atari, always looking to keep costs low, didn’t produce a nice set of programming manuals for the ST like Apple did for the Macintosh and Commodore did for the Amiga.
