The $99 computer

I recently saw someone selling a Timex Sinclair 1000 (with the 16K RAM upgrade) for $20 on FaceBook Marketplace. I had heard of this computer, but didn’t know much about it. I figured for $20, it was worth picking it up to play around with it and learn more about it.

It turns out that it was the original owner that was selling it! He had purchased it back in 1982/83 and still had everything, including the original boxes. He didn’t know if it worked, but I figure that didn’t matter for my purposes. We talked a bit about old computers and then I brought it home.
