Atari and Nintendo: Donkey Kong
How high can you get?
When we first got our Atari 400 it was primarily used a game machine. One of first games we got for it was the Donkey Kong cartridge. The Atari 8-bit cartridge is a great conversion of the arcade classic.
I don’t remember what the first game that we got was, but I remember getting Donkey Kong for Christmas that year. I also remember sneakily playing it before Christmas because I had found the “present stash” in my parent’s room and would sneak in there after school before they got home from work and carefully extract the cartridge from its box to play for a bit with the Atari 4001.
